You may have heard that Revlon have kicked off 2016 with a huge overhaul of their mascara collection. They're discontinuing all their existing mascaras and introducing five new ones, each with colour-coded packaging to represent their individual benefits, whether that be volume, length or definition. But if you're anything like me you'll want it all, which is where their new 'hero' mascara, the Ultimate All-in-One, comes into play.
This mascara was designed as a one-stop shop for volume, length, definition, lift and intense colour. I'm lucky enough to have very short, straight lashes (grrr!), so it's hard to find a product that emphasises them well, but I've been really enjoying Revlon's latest offering. While I don't particularly notice an increase in length, it does add volume and thickness to my lashes while giving them a lift. The formula is thick, glossy and blacker than black which gives heaps of definition, and it's easy to build without going clumpy. It does flake a little after I first apply it, but I don't find this to be a problem as it stays put throughout the rest of the day.
But the most notable thing about this mascara has to be the new brush. It's a tiny oval shape, about the length of a fingernail, which makes it ideal for using on the lower lashes and getting right into the roots of the upper lashes. It also has a hollow core which acts as a reservoir, retaining the formula in the centre of the brush so you don't have to dip the wand back into the tube so frequently. It really does work and it helps save time during the early morning rush when every second counts!
The other mascaras in the new Revlon range include Ultra Volume (pink), Super Length (green), Volume + Length Magnified (blue), and Dramatic Definition (purple), and they're available to buy from 20 January priced at £9.99 each.
Are you interested in trying Revlon's new mascara wardrobe? Which formula would you go for?
I just recently heard about these! Daring move on Revlon's part, but I like the idea. I think the blue sounds best for me, although the all in one does sound appealing! I would buy that for the lower lashes alone xx

It's SO good for lower lashes, it defines them so well! I was really surprised when I heard they were pulling all their existing mascaras, really want to try all the other new formulations now! x
DeleteThat's one interesting looking mascara wand! I like that this gives volume but for me I always go for more lengthening mascaras because my lashes are OK for volume but they're pretty short!

Totally agree, I find small brushes so much easier to use! x
DeleteI'm fortunate enough to have really long and thick lashes, except on my bottom lashes! It seems that no matter how much mascara I put on them they're never dark, so I may need to try this product out!

It's fab isn't it, so pleased you like it too! :)
DeleteWow I can't believe they're discontinuing all of their current mascaras, I hope Covergirl and Maybelline never do that! I like that this gives volume but for me I'm all about the length, the longer a mascara can make my lashes, the better.
ReplyDeletewww.thesundaymode.blogspot.com.au
I know, crazy right! There's another one aimed at lengthening lashes, I've not tried it but have heard its good! :) x
